What does it mean that Christ is risen? There are a thousand true answers! Well, among other things, it means that new life is possible. And if new life is possible, then changing the world is also possible. Where there was despair, now there’s hope. The world needs your hope, and your work.
Before Easter, we will be celebrating Maundy Thursday (April 13) at 5:30 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church. I will bring a brief message for that service. On the 14th, Good Friday, we will worship together at 6:00 p.m. in Wesley Chapel here at First United Methodist Church.
Please join us Easter morning, April 16th, for worship at 7:00 a.m. for a sunrise service with communion, and at 10:00 a.m. for a joyful celebration of Christ’s resurrection. I’ll be talking that day about the message of Jesus, and how it is the beginning of changing the whole world. Bring your friends and your family. We’re worshiping in Wesley Chapel.
Consider also joining us for breakfast at 8:00,
On Easter, we’ll take a special offering for the community ministries of our church, including the Baby Pantry, Women United, and our House by the Side of the Road fund for people in need.
