I’ve been waiting for my life to calm down for a while now. I’m still waiting … life seems to ricochet from one major event to the next with no end in sight. Combine school and family with a new job and a move and it can all feel a little out of control. And I know I’m not alone.
Everyone I talk to these days is awash in the busyness of daily life. Financial challenges, health problems, relationship issues … the list is long.
It’s easy, in the midst of our busyness, to lose our foothold in faith. We grow weary and emotions get a little harder to control. We become fearful or anxious. We doubt that we can handle all that we struggle to juggle.
Sometimes, we just have to pause and remind of ourselves of what really matters. For three Sundays in August, we will do just that. We’ll return to some of the basics of our faith. With the help of Paul’s words in his letter to the Romans, we’ll take a fresh look at a few of the basic steps that we are called and empowered to take in our walk with Christ, both as individuals and as the church. And maybe … just maybe … we’ll find ourselves on a firmer foundation from which to handle all that life has in store.
Join us, Sundays at 10am.
